Custom Cue Dealers

In 2007, there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of custom cue makers throughout the world. The information Age has provided easy access to the basic knowledge of machining and cue making to the masses. Many cuemakers produce high quality cues, but only a small percentage of them made or make museum-quality cue sticks. The list below is not yet complete and will grow significantly in the coming months. In the mean time, these cuemakers' works are typically the most sought after in today's collectible cue market. (D) denotes the cue maker as deceased.

Early Custom Cue Makers (1900- mid 1960s): Herman Rambow (D), Harvey Martin (D)

Vintage Custom Cue Makers (1960s-70s): Gus Szamboti (D), George Balabushka (D), Frank Paradise (D), Burton Spain (D), Ginacue, David P. Kersenbrock, Craig Petersen (D), Tad Kohara, and more.

Modern Cue Makers: Joel Hercek, Barry Szamboti, Ginacue, David P. Kersenbrock, Tim Scruggs, Bill Schick, Richard Black, Bill Stroud, Jerry Franklin (D)(South West Cues), Joe Gold (Cognoscenti), Mike Lambros, Dennis Searing, Paul Mottey, Tad Kohara, Jerry McWorter, Thomas Wayne, Mike Bender, Pete Tascarella, and many more coming soon.

While the cue makers listed above are generally considered the most collectible, there are vast differences in design and construction techniques between them. Therefore, it is important for collectors to understand what it is about each cue maker that makes his work important.
