Ralph Greenleaf was arguably one of the best pocket billiard players in the history of the world. Brunswick produced a small number of cue sticks with Greenleaf's signature stamped into the cue. Not much is known about these cues. The unique veneer colors suggest it pre-dates the Titlist. The simplicity of the butt section and the lack of any rings or a butt cap suggests it was built in the 1930s or earlier. It was likely produced during the Great Depression when Ralph Greenleaf was in his prime and traveling the country playing pool and billiards. This cue features a full splice of rosewood into maple, with four veneers on each point. There is a leather wrap and a brass joint. This example is in excellent condition and belongs to the Rich Sheerman collection. Thanks to the Sheerman collection for the photos and the permission to publish them on this web site.
